bjprowler | As the Mustang begins it's 54th year in production it looks like the designers are trying again to make that magnificent design into a "jellybean" in 2018. Over the years they have come up with some gawd-awful looking designs that almost killed off the model and it looks like they're at it again.... YUCK! ......And who came up with that "baby sh!t yellow/orange color and those hideous black wheels?
It looks to me like it should have a number painted on the side and be driven on some dirt tract in Alabama. This message has been edited by bjprowler on 02-23-2018 at 12:02 PM |
padroo | Those wild colors always worked for Chrysler. I always said Chrysler isn't afraid to use color. I'm sure it comes in white. |
ClayD | The color and wheels don't bother me, but the front end now looks like your typical garden variety jap car, not a Mustang. They should not allow children to participate in the design of company icons that have historical significance.

Dano | While it is not my favorite car, this is FAR from some of the disasters that Ford has put out with the Mustang nameplate. I think we all remember... |
ALLEY CAT | Ford Mustang Sales Figures: 2017 81.866 2016 105.932 2015 122.439 2014 82.635 2013 77.186 2012 82.995 2011 70.438 2010 73.716 2009 66.623 2008 91.251 2007 134.626 2006 166.530 2005 160.975 2004 129.858 2003 140.350 2002 138.356 2001 169.198 2000 173.676 1999 166.915 1998 144.732 1997 116.610 1996 122.674 1995 136.962
. . IMO,,,, It's safe to say that if FORD didn't sell them,,they wouldn't continue to build them....and there are many Mustangs still on the road. |
bjprowler | Now, HERE is the most beautiful Mustang of ALL TIME (1969) All I can say about the designers of the 2018 "Jellybean" POS is "Somebody get a rope!"

padroo | I agree with you on this bj. I remember when they came out. I liked the dark green color. |
bjprowler | Look at what they did to it in 1989!
|
garysss | 1989 was very popular mustang 105485 sold. |
Tomcal | BJ.. 1969 was a true beauty. |

Marty Usher | People get bitch when a few people here a complaint about the Prowler - a car with 11000 plus units sold in six years - and then you put down a car that sells almost ten times that many in a single year. If you don't like a Mustang or a particular model of any car... Do not buy it... But don't complain when someone doesn't like your choice of vehicles!... Just my opinion.... Btw.. Never Owned a mustang. |
bjprowler | HUH??? |
mslc10 | look at the grill opening, then look at a micro-usb jack.... its the tech crowd in design.

BradleyG | I had this exact car Mach 1 with a 429 Cobra Jet. Most expensive car I ever owned... Too bad I didn't know it when I bought it in 1973. Paid $500 for it, put about 200 miles on it and sold it a week later for a quick $500 profit. We do what ever it takes to buy food for the baby. quote: Originally posted by bjprowler: Now, HERE is the most beautiful Mustang of ALL TIME (1969) All I can say about the designers of the 2018 "Jellybean" POS is "Somebody get a rope!"
